Commenting on the appointment, Interim Executive Director of BVI Finance Lorna Smith, OBE, said: “I am delighted that Simon has joined us as he brings significant resources to both the business development and marketing aspects of BVI Finance. Dubai is a market in which BVI expects to be active going forward. Simon's significant experience with the development of the Dubai International Finance Centre together with his knowledge of Islamic Financing are therefore both significant assets. Additionally, Simon spent three years in the BVI with the FSC which further supports the contribution that we expect him to make to the financial services industry.”

Simon Gray added, “I am delighted to be joining BVI Finance in this business development and marketing role.  The international financial services landscape is changing rapidly as we know with various initiatives under way which will require us to closely monitor developments in order to respond effectively to enhance the reputation of the territory.
