The European Union (EU) Court of Justice has ruled to strike down the Eu mandate for public registers of beneficial ownership of all companies. The Court's ruling was made on the grounds that publicly accessible registers "constitute a serious interference with the fundamental rights to respect for private life and to the protection of protection of personal data".
