he conference was a pan-regional wealth management, wealth planning and investment management meeting for private banks, high net worth individuals, wealth managers and family offices. The conference primarily focused on protecting, preserving and growing wealth. To articulate the business opportunities provided by the BVIs new funds products, Calum Mckenzie of Folio Corporate Services represented the Territory on a panel discussion about hedge funds. Mckenzie is TEAM BVIs Leader for funds.
BVI Finance Marketing Manager, Alicia Green, ACI, said the conference provided an opportunity to network and build relationships with key players in the industry. “We scheduled a number of one on one meetings with important agencies, professionals and individuals to introduce them to our products, particularly our new incubator and approved fund to further confirm their understanding of how those products can facilitate their business needs. Efforts were extended to assure clients and potential clients that we do have the capacity to be their business partners for the long term.”
Within recent years, Latin America has become a growing market and the BVI continues to make worthwhile investments in building relationships and seeking opportunities to showcase the BVI as a global business partners for clients in that market.
Along with McKenzie and Green at the conference, the Territory was represented by a number of TEAM BVI members including Sabinah Clement of Intertrust; Janice Skelton of New Haven, Cornel Baptist of Hudson Trust; Tim Clipstone of Maples; Jose Santos of Forbes Hare and Cecilia Denis of CISA Trust. As an additional spotlight opportunity, the BVI engaged in a prize giveaway sponsored by Folio Corporate Services.
