BVI Finance ignited a spirit of celebration on December 3rd as the 2025 BVI Financial Services Awards lit up Prime Restaurant with excitement and prestige. Senior officials, industry innovators, and future leaders gathered for an evening that honoured the outstanding accomplishments shaping the past year.

Hosted by Rhodni Skelton, Director of Marketing and Business Development at BVI Finance, and Karia Christopher, Director of Communications for the Government of the Virgin Islands, the evening carried a tone of celebration and reflection, marking yet another milestone in the Territory’s longstanding tradition of excellence.

Opening the night’s formal reflections, Hon. Smith took a moment to celebrate the outstanding professionals and firms nominated for awards, highlighting the remarkable dedication and expertise that continue to elevate the BVI’s financial services industry

Premier Wheatley reflected on the industry’s essential role in the Territory’s economic stability and global reputation, commending the winners for their excellence and continued contributions to the BVI’s standing as a trusted international financial centre.
He remarked: “Our industry's revenue growth speaks to the resilience of the Virgin Islands, the creativity of our practitioners, and the integrity with which you carry out your responsibilities—at home and across our global network. The success of the VI travels far beyond our shores because of your professionalism and dedication.

George Weston, Chair of the Board of Directors at BVI Finance, echoing the Premier’s statement said he was proud of the collective work done by professionals that comprise the BVI’s financial services industry.
This year’s awards recognized winners across 16 prestigious categories, determined by a balanced 50/50 voting system that combined public input with the expertise of a distinguished panel of industry judges. This dynamic selection process highlighted both the strength of community engagement and the professional integrity within the BVI’s financial services sector.
The panel of judges, an independent committee of experts from regulatory bodies and the wider financial services industry, reviewed and scored all finalists. Each judge assessed entries independently to ensure a fair, transparent, and unbiased process.
