The Board of BVI Finance Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Kenneth Morgan as Interim Head of Business Development and Marketing with effect from 15th January, 2018.
Ken Morgan, as he is known in the BVI, has worked in the territory for over 20 years during which time he was Executive Director of Rawlinson and Hunter Ltd, part of an international group of trust and accounting firms specializing in international tax and estate planning. While there he was largely responsible for all marketing efforts and travelled extensively promoting the firm and the services offered from the BVI.
Prior to working for Rawlinson and Hunter he worked in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda with major international banks, including several years as a Senior Vice President at the Bank of Butterfield, Bermuda, where he was responsible for all trust, investment and mutual fund services. Morgan is the current Vice President of STEP and, in the past, he has served as Chairman of the Association of Registered Agents, as well as serving on several other Boards and Committees designed to improve the jurisdiction’s financial services offerings.
Since July 2016, Morgan has established his own consulting and advisory company, Pendragon Services Limited, which provides administration facilities for BVI companies as well as promoting the benefits of the BVI financial services sector.
Last year Morgan was elected by his colleagues on the Board of BVI Finance as its Chairman but he has willingly stepped down to take this position as Head of Business Development and Marketing on an interim basis.
Lorna Smith, O.B.E., Interim Executive Director of BVI Finance, in welcoming this development said “I can think of no better qualified, experienced and caring person to take over this position at this time. Ken, whom I have known since I started working in financial services, has always given his best to ensure that our industry remains robust and top of the line globally.”
She also thanked Gary Hales, whom Morgan succeeds, for his contribution over the last 18 months and wished him well as he moves on to a new assignment. The search for a permanent successor to Hales has begun.
