BVI Finance, the voice of the British Virgin Islands' financial services industry, proudly sponsored and attended the prestigious Asia Outbound Dubai event on May 10-11, 2023, at the Conrad. The event brought together more than 200 industry leaders from across Asia to explore emerging trends and opportunities in outbound investment.

Elise Donovan, CEO of BVI Finance, was a keynote speaker at the event and presented "Creating Prosperity in Times of Uncertainty." Donovan engaged attendees in discussions on their views about the future impact of the global economy and discussed the Beyond Globalisation report's impression on the Asia region. "BVI Finance is proud to be part of this year's Asia Outbound Dubai event and to support the continued growth and collaboration opportunities between the BVI and the Asia market," said Donovan.

She stated, "Our team was excited to showcase the BVI as a leading international financial center and engage with participants on the role of the BVI's services in facilitating global trade and investment."

Ronald Schmalcel of Coverdale, a BVI-based corporate service provider, represented the BVI at the event as a panelist. 

Schmalcel spoke about the advantages of BVI's offerings as a successful IFC and how these contribute to the ease of doing business in Asia and globally.

Additionally, the BVI Finance booth received a high-profile visit from H.E. Mirza Al Sayegh, Director General, Office of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, who commended the BVI Finance team on the breadth and quality of its offerings.
