The Ministry of Financial Services, Labour and Trade in collaboration with BVI Finance proudly announced Tomorrow’s Leaders Internship Programme.

The Tomorrow’s Leaders Internship Programme aims to provide students with the invaluable opportunity to gain practical work experience within the Financial Services Industry. This collaborative effort with BVI Finance will not only facilitate hands-on learning but also foster networking opportunities, enabling students to establish strong and beneficial professional relationships early in their careers.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Financial Services, Labour and Trade, Honourable Lorna Smith, OBE highlighted that by connecting employers in the industry with motivated and talented students currently pursuing tertiary education, the Tomorrow’s Leaders Internship Programme seeks to cultivate the next generation of leaders in the financial services sector. 

“Through mentorship, training, and real-world experience, we aim to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to become future decision-makers in the field,” Minister Smith emphasised.

Furthermore, Minister Smith expressed her vision, stating, "I envisage this as an optimal opportunity for students to gain relevant and hands-on experience in the fields of Financial Investigation, Compliance, and other supporting areas.”

The Internship Programme will offer placements from May through September 2024, providing flexibility for both students and participating organisations. This duration allows interns to immerse themselves in their roles and contribute meaningfully to their respective teams.
