Following consultation with the Government of the Virgin Islands, BVI Finance has postponed the proposed trade mission to Africa until early next year.

The Government of the Virgin Islands recently announced the appointment of Sherri Ortiz-Fahie as the Interim Director of BVI House Asia, effective 1st October 2018.

BVI Finance is pleased to announce its first 2-week trade mission to Africa from 5th November to 16th November 2018. The 2018 BVI Africa Trade Mission covers three countries and four of Africa’s major business hubs: Cape Town, South Africa; Nairobi, Kenya; Abuja, Nigeria and Lagos, Nigeria.

Today, 12 months on from the record Category 5 Hurricane Irma, BVI Finance is proud to declare that “the BVI remains resilient, attractive and open for business”, having achieved a number of milestones and boosted the Territory’s recovery.

The British Virgin Islands hosted a leading professor from the National University of Singapore earlier this week as part of a fintech immersion conference to highlight the importance of the digital sector for the region.

The Government of the Virgin Islands is set to host a two day conference on FinTech Immersion at the Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) on 23 and 24 July.
