Centered around the theme of navigating the future and building legacies, the 2025 STEP Caribbean Conference brought together many of the region’s leading professionals in trusts, estates, and wealth management—with the British Virgin Islands (BVI) taking a prominent role in the dialogue. BVI Finance proudly returned as a sponsor of the STEP Caribbean Conference, held from May 14–16 in St. Kitts.

With a renewed commitment to investing in the next generation of financial services professionals, the Tomorrow’s Leaders Internship Programme officially launched its 2025 cycle on May 2 with an engaging and informative orientation session held in Road Town, Tortola.

The “Intelligence Briefing: British Virgin Islands” at OffshoreAlert Miami 2025 delivered a detailed look at how the Territory combines statutory innovation, court room speed and modern arbitration facilities to support more than 360 000 active companies worldwide. The panel was led by asset recovery lawyer Martin Kenney of MKS LAW, with insights from Andrew Emery (Emery Cooke) and Shan Greer (BVI International Arbitration Centre).

On April 10, 2025, Vanessa King as chair of the STEP BVI branch presented John Glasson with the STEP Founder’s Award as a token of gratitude for the wonderful work which he has done on behalf of STEP BVI.
