BVI PREMIER WHEATLEY OPENS FINANCIAL SERVICES WEEK 2022

Financial Services Week is regarded as a time to take introspection for the advancement of the BVI as an international finance centre says Premier Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley during his opening address.
Premier Wheatley highlighted areas for the public to consider saying, “We must ask ourselves important questions about what it will take to develop strategies to adapt and keep pace with the trends and advancements of globalisation. In these uncertain and often unpredictable times, we must continue building on the strong foundations laid for us more than 40 years ago when our financial services industry was birthed,” said Premier Wheatley.
He explained that people and businesses choose the BVI because of the vigorous legal framework, regulation and conformity to international standards and that we must continue to do so through education and providing persons with those opportunities through the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College Robert Mathavious Institute.
BVI Finance is leading BVI Financial Services Week 2022 under the theme, Globalisation: BVI Beyond which focuses on recent global events and its influence on the future of international financial centres like the BVI.
